07 Mar Ohio Internships | Be Of Service This Summer to Good Works Inc.
You may remember that last year we got to meet up with Keith from Good Works, Inc., during our Ohio missions trip. We are blessed to have a continuing relationship with them and all the great things they are doing in Ohio Appalachia.
There is a special opportunity for those that are looking for a way to help out those in need this summer. The Monkey Do Project would like to announce that Good Works, Inc., of Athens, Ohio is offering an internship experience as they announce Summer Service 2013 from June 9th through August 10th.
From Good Works, Inc.:
Consider a 9-week paid internship focused on discipleship and leadership development in the context of Christian community. Interns lead youth and adults in relational services with people without homes, older adults needing physcial assistance and support, and children and teens experiencing the risks of poverty.
For 18 years, the Good Works community has been providing internship experiences and this summer they plan on hiring 6-8 interns who live within a Christina community.
Applicants must be at least 20 years old or have completed one year of college. Good works provides the interns with housing and most food and a stipend.
To find out more information and to apply for this unique and rewarding experience, you can visit http://www.good-works.net and explore their site. Be sure to pay special attention to the Internships section and also read “A Christian Worldview.”
You will need to request an application by emailing Good Works at firstname.lastname@example.org
Applications need to be completed by March 31st and interviews will be held in Athens, OH in April.
There are other internship opportunities available through Good Works and information on those opportunities can also be found on their website.
If you have the love in your heart and the time to give to others, please consider applying for this fulfilling opportunity to help those in need. The Monkey Do Project works hard to help those in need in the Appalachia area, so if you are not able to apply for this internship but know someone who is, please pass this information along to them.
