Monkey Do Project, Inc. Granted 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status

Indianapolis, Ind.–Monkey Do Project, Inc. is proud to announce that it is now officially a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Contributions donated to Monkey Do Project, Inc. are fully tax-deductible retroactive to the founding of the organization on April 18, 2012. Monkey Do Project, Inc. is also now eligible to apply for government and foundation grants, which will further broaden access to resources and strengthen the ability to serve U.S. Appalachian families in need.

“Obtaining 501(c)(3) status is a major milestone for Monkey Do Project,” remarked Founder and Executive Director Jacqueline Wilson. “This opens additional doors for us to expand fundraising activities and fully realize our goals as a charitable organization serving the people of Appalachia.”

Since its inception, the Monkey Do Project has helped thousands of Appalachian people in need. Their projects have included filling an empty food bank every month, providing meals to hungry kids on the weekends, providing filled school bags to Appalachian children, and donating clothes, shoes and blankets to families in need.
