02 Jun 7 Year Old Raises Money for Appalachia Families
When 7-year-old Ella heard that her neighborhood was having a community garage sale, she said one thing to her mom:
I want to have a lemonade stand for families in Appalachia!
Ella worked hard making signs, telling friends, baking cookies and, of course, testing out the lemonade to get it just right!
The day of the lemonade stand she spent four hours standing on the side of the road with a sign encouraging people to stop by and also working the lemonade stand and educating people on Appalachia and the Monkey Do Project.
With the physical lemonade stand and also what people gave online, Ella more than doubled her goal! Watch the video to see her reaction when we told her about her totals!
(PS: We kicked in the extra $3 to get Ella over $600 after the video!)
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared, gave and supported Ella and her lemonade stand for charity!
